Asheville police confirm officers are investigating a shooting that occurred underneath Capt. Jeff Bowen Bridge. The incident took place on Emma Road just after midnight on July 5. Upon arrival, officers discovered one victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was promptly transported to Mission Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
