Asheville police seek public’s help identifying break-in suspect

The Asheville Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest regarding a business break-in on Hendersonville Road that happened near the end of May.

According to a news release, officers responded to a business alarm in the 1800 block of Hendersonville Road at 2:51 a.m. on May 26. Upon arrival, officers discovered that someone had used a cinder block to break through the front glass door and gain entry into the establishment. Fortunately, nothing appeared to have been taken during the break-in.

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest linked to the incident. The business in question reported that an unknown female was captured on surveillance video inside the store on May 25, recording images of specific inventory items.
