Asheville Launches Water Distribution Efforts for Residents

Get Your Water at Asheville Middle School and Pack Square Park

Hey Asheville! We’ve got some important news to share with you regarding water distribution efforts happening in our city. Starting today, the City of Asheville is rolling out two convenient locations for residents to pick up much-needed drinking water. So, if you’re feeling a little parched, listen up!

New Location at Asheville Middle School

First up, the city has set up a new water distribution site at the Asheville Middle School, located at 211 S. French Broad Ave, Asheville, NC 28801. This site is open right now and will remain operational until dark or until supplies run out—whichever comes first.

This is a drive-thru pickup location, making it easy and safe for families to grab their water. Just head to the first bus loop, and you’re all set! Each family can take home one case of bottled water per day, so please make sure to swing by if you need a refill for your water stash.

Continuing Operations at Pack Square Park

But wait, there’s more! Water distribution is also continuing at Pack Square Park. This location is open for business every day from 9 a.m. until dark or until all the water is gone. It’s another great place to load up on drinking water, but remember—everyone is limited to 2 gallons per person, and 5 gallons per family.

It’s worth noting that you need to bring your own containers, as none will be provided. So make sure you grab some sturdy bottles or jugs before you head out!

Traffic and Safety Protocols

Now, for the sake of everyone’s safety and to keep things running smoothly, traffic around Pack Square Park will be directed away from the water distribution area. The distribution will be a walk-up only event, so be prepared to park nearby and stroll to the pickup spot. If carrying your water back to your vehicle is a challenge, there will be assistance available to help you get your supply.

Parking is a breeze! Residents are encouraged to use the lots and decks nearby rather than parking on the streets. This helps everyone stay safe and ensures that emergency services can get through in case of any situations that might arise.

Community Engagement and Respectful Discussion

Community is at the heart of Asheville, and we encourage everyone to stay engaged and informed about these water distribution efforts. Please feel free to share your experiences or thoughts in our comments section, but let’s keep things friendly! The goal here is to create a constructive and civil dialogue about our local community issues.

The moderators will be keeping an eye on the comments to make sure everyone feels welcome to participate. If the conversation veers off into negativity or rudeness, those comments will be removed, and if necessary, repeat offenders will be banned. We want to keep our discussions respectful and productive.

Final Thoughts

So there you have it, Asheville! Get those containers ready and make your way to one of these water distribution sites today. Stay hydrated, and let’s keep looking out for each other. Together, we can ensure everyone in our community has access to the water they need!
