Asheville Symphony Brings Joy Amid Changes and Challenges

Schedule Changes for Masterworks 2
Originally slated for October, the upcoming Masterworks 2: Legacy, featuring the acclaimed classical pianist Terrence Wilson, has been moved to Saturday, January 18, 2025. Performances will still take place at the First Baptist Church of Asheville with shows at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. This decision ensures that audiences can enjoy the performance fully when the time is right.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date and corresponding performance times. If you’re one of those who can no longer make it on the new date, don’t worry! Just visit the symphony’s website for guidance on how to handle your ticket changes.
Audiences can still look forward to an enchanting program featuring pieces like the Prélude from Bach’s English Suite No. 2 in A Minor and Liszt’s Sonata in B Minor. And let’s not forget, we are all eager to experience Terrence Wilson’s riveting rendition of the Emperor concerto this winter!
Messiah is On Track
On a brighter note, the Asheville Symphony is excited to announce that Masterworks 3: Messiah will proceed as planned! Mark your calendars for November 22 at 8 p.m. and November 23 with performances at 2 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.. This treasured musical work is a cherished holiday tradition and a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together to find peace and inspiration.
