Asheville, N.C. Sees Changes at FEMA Disaster Recovery Center
In the beautiful city of Asheville, North Carolina, big updates are on the way for those looking for assistance from the FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) located at the Asheville Mall. Starting Monday, November 25, the center is adjusting its operating hours to better serve the community.
New Operating Hours
Residents can expect the DRC to be open during the new hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. However, note that the center will be closed every Sunday. County Manager Avril Pinder shared some important news during a recovery briefing on Tuesday, indicating that the Asheville Mall DRC will have a temporary closure from November 28 to December 1 for the Thanksgiving weekend.
