Allegiant Air launches new nonstop flight from Asheville Airport to Minneapolis
ASHEVILLE – The citizens of Asheville can now travel to the ‘great north’ more conveniently as Allegiant Air introduces its new nonstop, seasonal spring, and summer flight option from Asheville Regional Airport to Minneapolis. This nonstop flight officially took off for the first time on February 15, expanding the flight choices from Asheville, operated by Allegiant Air. The Asheville Regional Airport now boasts 17 different Allegiant Air nonstop flight options.
Increased flight frequency
The new flights to Minneapolis are scheduled to operate up to twice a week, as declared in an Allegiant Air news release. This introduction anticipates the surge in spring and summer travel demands. “Allegiant’s affordable, all-nonstop flights allow customers to spend more time in their destination without the hassle of managing layovers or connections”, says Drew Wells, spokesperson for Allegiant Travel Company.
Cost-effective travel
A one-way flight from Asheville to Minneapolis, scheduled for March 3, starts at $58, making travels not only convenient but also cost-effective for the citizens, according to the Allegiant Air website.
Asheville’s nonstop flight options
By mid-2024, when a nonstop flight service from Asheville to Orlando is expected to start, the Asheville Regional Airport will service a total of 27 locations through nonstop flights. The nonstop flight options offered from the Asheville Regional Airport vary from seasonal to year-round. Each airline provides different options for travelers.
Allegiant Airlines nonstop routes
Allegiant Airlines operates year-round nonstop flights to Austin, Texas; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Houston; Key West, Florida; Las Vegas; Sanford, Florida; Punta Gorda, Florida; Sarasota, Florida; and St.Pete/Clearwater, Florida.
The flights to Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Denver, and Minneapolis are seasonal and are operational from spring to fall. Destin, Florida sees seasonal summer flights. By May 2024, Orlando, Florida will have year-round flights.
Other airlines and their nonstop flights
American Airlines offer year-round nonstop flights to Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., and New York, besides a summer nonstop service to Chicago and Miami.
Delta Air Lines provide year-round nonstop service to Atlanta, New York, and Minneapolis. United Airlines have nonstop flights to Chicago, Denver, and Newark, New Jersey, which are operational year-round.
Sun Country Airlines and JetBlue Airways offer spring to fall nonstop flights to Minneapolis and summer to early fall nonstop flights to Boston, respectively.
The increased flights and expansion of service stand as a testament to the Asheville Regional Airport’s increasing popularity and the growing demands of the passengers.
