Police are seeking the public’s help with information after an armed robbery occurred earlier this week in west Asheville. Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that took place at a convenience store in the 200 block of Amboy Road.
Surveillance video shows a masked man entering the store brandishing a gun. The suspect left the store with approximately $400 in cash and other items before fleeing on foot. The store cashier described the gunman as a tall Black male with a large build, wearing a charcoal gray/dark hoodie brandishing a silver and black handgun.
Detectives are actively seeking information from witnesses or anyone with knowledge about the robbery. They ask anyone who may have information to contact the Asheville Police Department at (828) 252-1110. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the TIP2APD smartphone application or by texting TIP2APD to 847411.
