The Asheville-Buncombe Air Quality Agency has released the agenda for its board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The meeting will be held at the Buncombe County Permit Office located at 30 Valley Street, Asheville, North Carolina.
The session will commence at 4.00pm and will be live-streamed on Engage Buncombe accessible at https://engage.buncombecounty.org/s8486. For those who can’t make it in real-time, a recording of the meeting will be made available later for viewing. And also, the official documents for the board meeting will be accessible on the same Engage Buncombe site.
The meeting will begin with a Public Comment Protocol Announcement. To ensure everyone’s views are heard, there will also be a public comment period later in the session. Afterward, the agenda will be reviewed and approved by the board.
This section of the agenda is set to address the adoption of minutes from the previous meeting held on July 11, 2024.
The Director’s Report comprises of multiple topics, including an update on air quality staffing and an introduction to the new Board Member Orientation Document. Highlights will also include a dispatch about permit modifications primarily for New Belgium Brewing Company, Inc., a beer brewing facility to make replacements in the boiler’s burners to enable the facility to combust biogas in addition to natural gas.
