Asheville’s Kenilworth Artists Fall Studio Tour Promises a Weekend of Creativity and Community Support

Welcome to Asheville: A Weekend of Art Awaits!

Asheville, renowned for its vibrant arts scene and stunning landscapes, is buzzing with excitement as the city prepares for the 19th annual Kenilworth Artists Fall Studio Tour on October 5-6. If you’re looking for a fun and inspiring weekend, then mark your calendars because this is one event you won’t want to miss!

What to Expect

This year, the tour will showcase the incredible work of 26 local artists who create their masterpieces right in the heart of Kenilworth, a historic neighborhood nestled just south of downtown Asheville and near the picturesque Biltmore Village. You’ll have the chance to explore a wide array of art forms, from oil paintings and watercolors to pottery, jewelry, and even mixed-media creations. Whether you’re a seasoned art collector or just someone who loves to browse, there’s something for everyone!

Art for a Cause

One of the most heartwarming aspects of this tour is the commitment to giving back. Each artist will generously donate a portion of their sales to Loving Food Resources, a local pantry dedicated to supporting those in need. So not only will you be adding beautiful art to your collection, but you’ll also be contributing to a noble cause!

Self-Guided Adventure

The best part? The tour is completely free and self-guided! You can plan your own route and discover each artist’s studio at your own pace. The tour runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, giving you plenty of time to soak in the creativity and maybe chat with some of the artists themselves. It’s a fantastic opportunity to understand the stories behind their work and what inspires them.

Getting Your Map

Before you head out, be sure to grab a brochure with a map of studio locations. You can find these online at www.kenilworthartists.org or pick one up at various spots around Asheville, including the Asheville Visitors Center and the beloved Malaprop’s Bookstore. This way, you’ll have everything you need to navigate through the wonderful world of local art.

What’s the Weather Like?

As for the weather this weekend, expect a mainly cloudy sky with a slight chance of a rain shower and temperatures peaking around 69°F. For those heading out in the evening, be prepared for mostly cloudy skies with a few showers likely rolling in late. Temperatures will dip to around 60°F, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying the arts. Winds will be coming from the south at around 10 to 15 mph, so it might be a good idea to bring a light jacket if you’ll be out later.

Join the Fun!

So whether you are an art lover searching for that special piece, someone looking to support local artists, or just curious to see what the talented folks in Kenilworth are up to, this Fall Studio Tour is a fantastic way to spend your weekend. Grab your family and friends, put on comfortable shoes, and explore the beauty and creativity that make Asheville such an extraordinary place. Let’s celebrate art together!
