Get ready to go wild this weekend because Brews and Bears has returned for the summer. The WNC Nature Center’s monthly after-hours event kicks off tonight, May 10 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. — letting you explore the grounds as the sun goes down, with a drink and dinner in hand.
During the fundraiser, you’ll have a chance to watch an enrichment activity with the center’s ursine inhabitants and learn more about bears with the help of BearWise. Then meet the other animal residents, like baby cougars Noa and Hayla, baby bobcats Tufts and Kohana, and a bevy of growing chicks.
Highland Brewing Co., Appalachian Mountain Brewing, and Metro Wines will provide the drinks. Gypsy Queen Cuisine and Bigfoot-Longs Hot Dogs will provide the food. 105.9 The Mountain will provide the music. And the local wildlife will provide the entertainment.
Grab your tickets for the second Friday of the month, May-August.
