Despite the recent cold snap in Western North Carolina, the end of the school year is fast approaching for public schools in the region. Families are gearing up for a well-deserved break as the last day of school draws near. Here’s what you need to know about the last day of school in Asheville, Buncombe, and other Western NC school districts.

When is the Last Day of School at Asheville City Schools and Buncombe County Schools?

The last day of the school year at Asheville City Schools in 2024 is June 7, with students set to enjoy almost three months of summer break. The district will resume classes on August 26. Similarly, Buncombe County Schools will also conclude the school year on June 10 and restart on the same date in August.
