Asheville Police Collaborate with Holly Springs Officers in Drug and Theft Arrests

Asheville, North Carolina, was the scene of some significant yet unsettling late-night events on October 4th. In a joint effort, law enforcement from Holly Springs assisted the Asheville Police Department in apprehending three individuals facing serious drug and theft charges. It all started around 11:56 p.m. when Holly Springs Police noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in south Asheville.

Suspicious Vehicle Sparks Police Action

The officers made contact with the vehicle, only to discover it was loaded with a large quantity of copper piping. Recognizing the potential for criminal activity, they quickly called in the Asheville Police for backup. Together, they responded to the call and arrived in the 100 block of Hendersonville Road to investigate further.

Two Arrested on Felony Charges

As a result of this timely intervention, two individuals were taken into custody—Jeremy David Lee Jordan and Karen Danielle Lillie. Both were arrested without any trouble. However, things took a more intense turn upon discovering that they not only had existing felony warrants but also possessed a significant amount of narcotics.

  • Jeremy David Lee Jordan, born February 11, 1984, was charged with:
    • Obtain Property Under False Pretense
    • Felony Financial Card Fraud

    Jordan was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND, meaning he was ineligible for release.

  • Karen Danielle Lillie, born May 13, 1984, faced multiple charges including:
    • Felony Possession of Schedule II
    • Resisting Public Officer
    • Felony Probation Violation (x2)

    Lillie was booked with a secured bond set at $75,000, which could be reduced to $7,500 through a bondsman.

Third Suspect Apprehended

Just when the situation seemed to settle, the Holly Springs officers chased down another individual, Curtis Wayne Cody, after he attempted to evade a police barricade on Bryson Street. Cody’s luck ran out as he too was taken into custody without any additional incidents.

  • Curtis Wayne Cody, born July 5, 1979, was charged with:
    • Felony Possession of Schedule II

    Cody was also booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility, facing a secured bond amounting to $25,000, or $2,500 if a bondsman is used.
