Asheville Prepares for the Thirteenth Annual Ingles Magical Christmas Toy Drive
As the holiday season approaches, the city of Asheville is buzzing with excitement over the upcoming Thirteenth Annual Ingles Magical Christmas Toy Drive. This beloved event, set to take place from December 5th to December 7th, is all about spreading joy and making sure that every child in the community can unwrap a special gift this Christmas.

The toy drive will transform the Ingles Store #31, located at 151 Smokey Park Hwy, Asheville, NC 28806, into a festive hub of giving. Participants can get involved during the following times:
- Thursday, December 5th: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday, December 6th: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday, December 7th: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
During these three days, the community is encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys, books, clothing, and gift cards. Monetary donations are also welcomed and will go towards the upcoming St. Nicholas Toy Store, which will open its doors on December 10th at 23 Hamilton Street in Asheville.
A Heartfelt Initiative for Local Children
Last year, the St. Nicholas Project made a significant impact, providing holiday gifts to over 3,000 local children in need. This year, the drive aims to continue this tradition of generosity, ensuring that every child experiencing hardship—especially those living in poverty or affected by disaster, such as Hurricane Helene—can look forward to receiving a thoughtful gift this holiday season.
How to Get Involved
Joining in the fun and making a difference is easy! If you’d like to contribute, simply gather your new and unwrapped toys or any of the other accepted items and head over to the designated Ingles store during the specified hours. Every little bit helps and your contribution could put a smile on a child’s face.
For parents and guardians who may be eligible, it’s important to know they can register for a shopping appointment at the St. Nicholas Toy Store.
