Asheville Mayor Advocates for Homelessness Funding Expansion in Washington, D.C.
Dozens of mayors from across the U.S. will be in Washington, D.C. early this week advocating for further federal partnership to address housing and homelessness crises. Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer is attending and spoke about the initiatives to address homelessness.
Expanding Federal Funding for Homelessness
Leaders of the Conference of Mayors Task Force on Homelessness will be meeting with White House officials and members of Congress pushing for funding expansions to provide greater access to housing for low-income families, individuals experiencing homelessness, seniors, those with disabilities, children, and veterans.
