Asheville is gearing up for its popular Oktoberfest event, scheduled for October 5th at downtown’s Pack Square Park. The much-anticipated event promises an immersive German-style experience with a local Asheville twist. An array of breweries and craft-beverage makers will be present at the festival, alongside local food vendors and live music performances.
As a celebration of authentic German culture, Oktoberfest holds a special appeal to beer aficionados. Over 20 breweries, both locally established ones and new entrants, are expected to showcase their unique craft-beers at the festival. This Oktoberfest, promising a wide range of beer flavors, also offers games and entertainment activities, all set against the vibrant backdrop of live music.
Tickets into this enthralling experience are now available for purchase online. In addition to the general admission tickets, which grant the holder access to beer sampling, VIP tickets are also up for grabs. As Hayden Plemmons, the executive director of Asheville Downtown Association, explained, “VIP tickets allow early access to the festival, enabling the holder to beat the crowd and also includes food and beverages in the VIP area.” The general admission time is set for 2-6 p.m., while VIP ticket holders could enter the festival premises as early as 1 p.m.
While the Oktoberfest captures the essence of the traditional German festivity finely, it has been molded to reflect the local Asheville charisma as well. The food stalls, for instance, will see participation from local vendors, thereby, offering a taste of Asheville’s culinary specialities. The live music performances too will reverberate with Asheville’s rhythm.
Asheville residents and outsiders alike look forward to the annual Oktoberfest for the fun, food, and frolic it promises. The festival typically attracts large crowds, so it’s a good idea to get your tickets early. For more information and to purchase your Oktoberfest tickets, visit the official website
