Man Sentenced to Prison for Starting Fire at Asheville Outlets

The Asheville Police Department announced that a man has been sentenced to prison for burning a structure. On April 8, 39-year-old Gregory Seth Silver pled guilty to burning and occupying a commercial structure.

Authorities responded to a storage room fire at the Asheville Outlets on Brevard Road on Jan. 11, 2023. The fire caused damage to the storage room and a neighboring business. An investigation revealed that Silver intentionally started the fire.

Sentencing

Gregory Seth Silver has been sentenced to serve 44-65 months in the Division of Adult Corrections and ordered to pay $11,825.49 in restitution.
