Asheville Police Arrest Two in Connection to Fatal Shooting

Asheville Police Department has confirmed the arrest of two individuals in connection to a fatal shooting that took place on Long Shoals Road on Sunday, June 16.

Arrests and Charges

Knowledge Jamal Davis, 18, was taken into custody on Wednesday, June 19, and has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 49-year-old Terry Lee Landrum Sr. In addition to murder, Davis faces charges for discharging a weapon into an occupied property.

Aria Shaquana Waters, 33, was arrested on June 18 and charged with accessory after the fact. She is currently held on a bond of $150,000. Waters is also facing charges related to possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in methamphetamine, and possession of a stolen firearm.

Incident Details

The incident occurred at the Artisan at Biltmore Park apartment complex in south Asheville around 6 a.m. on June 16. Upon responding to the scene, authorities discovered the lifeless body of Landrum Sr., who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

Investigation Update

A spokesperson for the Asheville Police Department stated that more information regarding the arrests will be disclosed on Thursday, June 20.
