ARDEN, N.C. — After being closed for about five months, Asheville Sandwich Company announced it is reopening in a new location. Here’s everything you need to know.
The sandwich shop was open in West Asheville along Haywood Road for 12 years before closing in late February due to renovations on its building. Owners closed without knowing if they would open again, but said they were open to other Asheville neighborhoods. The locally-owned business officially announced Monday morning that they would be opening their new location in Arden at 330 Rockwood Road, Suite No. 103.
They did not announce an exact opening date and said they are still waiting on permitting. But they said they are aiming to be open in early August.
According to their post on Facebook they will open with more drink options. This was the post: “Expanded Beverage Options, Ice Cream Shop & Milkshakes! Quench your thirst with our new drink selection, or indulge in a sweet treat from our ice cream shop inside! We’ve also kept our milkshakes which pair great with our sammies and sides!” Unlike the last location that only had outdoor seating after COVID, this new location will have indoor and outdoor seating.
The business also put out a call for employees and said anyone interested can email avlsandwichco@gmail.com. For more information visit Asheville Sandwich Co.’s website.
