Asheville Unites for Water Relief Efforts Following Hurricane Helene

Asheville Comes Together for Water Relief After Hurricane Helene

Asheville, NC, is shining bright through some tough times as the community rallies together to support those affected by Hurricane Helene. Thanks to a collaborative effort between New Belgium Brewing and Wine to Water, residents of this beautiful city now have a reliable resource for clean water. If you or someone you know has been impacted by the hurricane, there’s good news – this initiative is here to help!

What is Happening?

Every week, from Tuesday to Saturday, between 12:30 PM and 6 PM, the New Belgium Brewery’s parking lot (located at 21 Craven St, Asheville, NC 28806) will serve as a hub for water distribution and sanitation education. This effort specifically supports community members who have faced challenges due to Hurricane Helene. The team will be on-site while supplies last, making it a great opportunity for anyone in need.

How Does It Work?

Attendees can expect to receive 5-gallon containers to fill with both potable (drinkable) and non-potable water. Plus, there will be convenient fill-up stations available on-site. The distribution isn’t just about giving away water – it’s also geared towards educating the community about proper sanitation practices. Volunteers will help teach people how to use non-potable water safely for hygiene and other sanitation purposes. It’s a fantastic chance to learn something new while getting the essentials you need!

What Should You Bring?

Community members are encouraged to bring their own containers for filling and transporting water. Whether it’s buckets, bottles, or other types of containers, bringing your own will help in accessing the water more efficiently. Making sure everyone can get what they need is part of the mission!
