Asheville’s Businesses Need Your Support

At AVLtoday, we have a mission to broadcast the captivating essence of Asheville’s vibrant local businesses and events. Now, we are asking for you to tell us, and the community, which is the best biz in this city. Through a collective verdict in the form of AVLtoday’s Best, we aim to spotlight the top-tier spots Asheville has to offer. From coffee shops to event venues, we need your insight and your vote to make this happen. So let’s find out the process below.

How to nominate a business

Nominations started recently and closes Friday, Aug. 16, giving you plenty of time to discern and decide. You can nominate in various categories by navigating here and clicking on the map. Select the “Add Nomination” button, choose a category, and type in the name of the business you’d like to nominate. If you’re the business owner, we encourage you to let us know and provide your contact details. To nominate another business, simply repeat the process.

What are the categories?

We have a plethora of categories for businesses including venues for Adult Crowd (21+), Kid-Friendly Activities, Family Venues, Pet-Friendly Places, Brunch spots, Outdoor Dining places, Music/Event Venues, Breweries/Distilleries and so much more. We’ve got a category for everything Asheville loves, including fitness centers, golf courses, childcare providers, salons, real-estate agents and even best coworking spaces.

What’s next?

We will compile the nominations and announce the finalists on Monday, Aug. 26. And voting starts Monday, Sept. 2 and concludes on Friday, Sept. 20. The winners will then be announced Friday, Oct. 4. So, Asheville dwellers and visitors, get ready to show some love to our local businesses. Ready, Set, Nominate!

Remember, nominating and voting is not just a fun activity; it contributes significantly to the growth and development of our local businesses, which in turn makes Asheville an even better place to live and visit. We encourage you to participate actively and appreciate the hard work, dedication, and service these businesses provide to our community.
