Asheville, NC – The renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly has made a spectacular return to Asheville with his latest art exhibit at Biltmore Estate. Chihuly, known for his intricate and colorful glass sculptures, has brought together a stunning collection of pieces spanning four decades of his career.
The exhibit features over 30 pieces, including some of Chihuly’s most iconic works such as the “Radiant Yellow Icicle Chandelier” and the “Mille Fiori,” a garden of glass flowers and natural shapes. One of the standout pieces is the “Persian Ceiling,” a mesmerizing display of hand-blown glass shapes cascading from a glass ceiling, creating a captivating interplay of light and color.
Chihuly’s exhibit also showcases his lesser-known work, including pieces that highlight the unique glassblowing methods he has pioneered over the years. The exhibit includes paintings and drawings made using watercolor, charcoal, and graphite, offering visitors a deeper insight into Chihuly’s artistic process.
The exhibit is located primarily in the Biltmore’s Amherst at Deerpark Gallery, with additional large-scale pieces on the estate grounds. Running from now until January 5, 2025, the exhibit offers a comprehensive view of Chihuly’s artistic evolution. Tickets are available for non-Biltmore passholders starting at $125 and $30 for passholders.
