Complaints of Drug Activity Lead Police to Arrest 3 in Asheville

Overview

After receiving complaints about drug activity, Asheville police conducted proactive enforcement earlier this week, leading to the arrests of three men from the same vehicle, including two felons for drug trafficking.

Arrest Details

On Tuesday, July 2, Asheville Police Department detectives and officers made contact with Justin Lee Garcia, 35, who was wanted on open warrants for parole violations, along with David Marshall Peck, 30, and Adrian Maurice Jones, 44, on Granada Street. All three men were found in the same vehicle at the time of their arrests.

Seized Drugs

During the arrests, Peck and Jones were found to be in possession of trafficking amounts of various drugs, including:

  • 28.8 grams of fentanyl
  • 44 grams of methamphetamine
  • 3.6 grams of crack cocaine

David Marshall Peck

  • Trafficking in Opium or Heroin by Possession (Level III)
  • Two counts of Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II Substance
  • Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School
  • Maintain a Vehicle for Controlled Substances
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND.

Adrian Maurice Jones

  • Trafficking in Methamphetamine by Possession (Level I)
  • Two counts of Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II
  • Possession With Intent to Sell or Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a School
  • Maintain a Vehicle for Controlled Substances
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Simple Possession of Schedule VI
  • Booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $104,000 secured bond.

Justin Lee Garcia

  • Warrant: Parole Violation
  • Warrant: Civil Non-Support x2
  • Warrant: Failure to Appear on Pretrial Release Violation x2
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $104,162 secured bond.
