New Program Aims to Electrify Homes in Asheville
The WNC Sierra Club is hosting a series of public events in Asheville to explain how the Federal Inflation Reduction Act is providing incentives to make electric living more accessible and affordable for residents. The presenter for the upcoming event is Sophie Mullinax of Electrify Asheville.
Electrifying Asheville with Federal Incentives
With a growing interest in sustainable living, many Asheville residents have already made the switch to solar panels and electric cars. However, with the new incentives provided by the Biden Administration’s IRA and programs like Electrify Asheville, more residents can now contribute to the electrification goals while saving on initial and operating costs.
Public Event Details
The event will take place at 7 p.m. on April 3 at the Reuter Center at UNC Asheville in Buncombe County. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be conducted on Zoom with advance registration on the WNC Sierra Club’s website. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation email with information on how to join the meeting.
