Asheville Gears Up for a Heartwarming Holiday Season

Winds will be breezy, gusting over 40 mph at times, so make sure to bundle up if you’re heading out. In the spirit of the season, the community is coming together to spread some warmth and cheer, particularly for those who could use a bit of extra kindness. The Land of Sky Ombudsman program is rolling out a wonderful initiative to collect holiday gifts for local long-term care facilities in Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, and Transylvania counties. This heartfelt effort runs through December 12, and it’s a chance for all of us to brighten the holidays for nursing home residents.
