Asheville’s House of Black Cat Magic celebrated its first year of operations on Sunday, June 9, after helping hundreds of cats across Buncombe County find homes. In its first year of business, the lounge helped more than 150 cats find their forever homes.
Black Cat Lounge Provides Hope for Stray Felines
A local shop known as House of Black Cat Magic has been a beacon of hope for stray felines in Buncombe County. The Black Cat Lounge, which hosts parties, community events, and adoption drives, has successfully helped over 150 cats find permanent homes in its one year of operation.
Community Engagement and Support
To commemorate its first anniversary, the lounge organized a special celebration over the weekend. The event included a magical market, a silent auction, and a cat food drive to support Binx’s Home for Black Cats food pantry. The community turned out in full force to show their support for the cause.
TrapKing Davis Shares Insights on TNR Programs
Sterling “TrapKing” Davis, a renowned figure in TNR Humane Cat Solutions, was present at the anniversary event to educate attendees about the significance of Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) programs. These programs play a vital role in stabilizing feral cat populations and ensuring their well-being.
“TNR is essential to controlling the feral cat population and preventing various issues that arise due to overpopulation. Spaying and neutering are key aspects of responsible pet ownership,” Davis emphasized.
