Imagination on the move with Rec n Roll – Asheville Parks and Recreation Program

Imagination on the move with Rec n Roll

The Asheville Parks and Recreation program brings games, art, and summer fun into parks and neighborhoods.

Summer Fun with Rec n Roll

As the summer days approach, Asheville Parks and Recreation is gearing up for an exciting season with their vibrant Rec n Roll van hitting the road once again. This mobile program is set to bring games, art, and imagination to parks and neighborhoods across the city, providing a fun and engaging experience for residents of all ages.

Imagination Days

On Mondays, Imagination Days offer an opportunity for free and interactive play. Children aged 1-5 can engage in building with giant blocks, exploring tunnels, and participating in games at various parks throughout Asheville. There is no need for advance registration, but parents or guardians must accompany their children during the activities.

Themed Days and Challenges

Wednesdays are reserved for chaotically creative themed days that challenge young minds aged 2-5 to think outside the box and let their imaginations run wild. These themed days require advance registration, and while many are currently waitlisted, it is advisable to join the queue for a chance to participate.

Stay Updated

To make sure you don’t miss out on the fun-filled days and regular Rec n Roll pop-ups, keep a close eye on the program’s calendar for upcoming events and activities. It’s a great way to enjoy the summer season and explore the creativity that Asheville Parks and Recreation has to offer.
