Man Shot in Asheville Following Argument at Grocery Store; Suspect at Large
A man was shot on Sunday afternoon, May 5, following an argument at a grocery store in Asheville, North

According to an Asheville Police Department officer, the incident unfolded at H&B Grocery located on State
Street. Two unidentified males engaged in an argument at the store, which eventually led to a violent
altercation. Following the heated dispute, the victim, a 35-year-old male, proceeded to walk towards the Pisgah
View Apartments, while the other individual involved in the argument drove away from the scene.
Shooting Takes Place at Pisgah View
The situation took a drastic turn when the suspect, who had also driven towards Pisgah View, waited for the victim
near the apartments. Witnesses reported that around 3:15 p.m., the suspect ambushed the victim as he approached
Pisgah View, shooting him in the abdomen area. Following the attack, the suspect swiftly fled the scene in his
vehicle, leaving the victim in a serious condition.

Asheville Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the incident. While the authorities do
