Road closures planned in Patton Avenue area in downtown Asheville starting July 9
The City of Asheville is preparing for downtown street closures in the Patton Avenue area.
These closures, which will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. July 9-11, are part of a larger ongoing project within the city to address flooding issues that have affected businesses in the area. The closures aim to make space for a new stormwater system as part of the Carter-Ann Patton Stormwater Project to mitigate flooding on Patton Avenue.
Construction for this project will take place overnight to minimize disruptions to nearby businesses and traffic, with detour signs posted on Otis Street and Clingman Avenue. City officials advise drivers to be aware of potential weather-related delays.
