According to the police department, at 2:33 a.m., the driver of a Tesla was traveling east in the wrong direction on I-40 west in Asheville. The Tesla collided with a freightliner that was heading westbound on the interstate. The driver of the Tesla, identified as 26-year-old Andrew Dean Justiniano, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash. Fortunately, the driver of the freightliner escaped unharmed.
