Asheville Rolls Out Thanksgiving Cheer for 1,500 Families

Asheville, North Carolina, is set to light up this season of gratitude with a heartwarming event that aims to spread joy and warmth to families in need. Thanks to a collaboration between the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, MANNA FoodBank, the 23XI Racing Team, and the Bubba Wallace Live to Be Different Foundation, 1,500 families will receive Thanksgiving meal boxes, ensuring that no one goes hungry this holiday.

What to Expect

Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 21st! From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., families are invited to head over to the WNC Farmers Market, located at 570 Brevard Road. This special Thanksgiving meal box distribution is a wonderful community initiative aimed at bringing smiles and good food to those who might otherwise struggle during the holiday season.

A Fantastic Partnership

The collaboration of these dedicated organizations showcases the power of community spirit. The Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina is known for its commitment to fighting hunger, serving thousands of individuals across the region. Bringing Families Together

This Thanksgiving meal box project is more than just feeding families; it’s about creating a sense of togetherness. Each meal box will contain staples that are not only delicious but also traditional for Thanksgiving gatherings. Imagine families coming together, warming their homes with the aroma of roasted turkey, all while cherishing time spent with loved ones.

How to Participate

Families wishing to benefit from this giveaway do not have to register beforehand—just show up during the distribution window! It’s a stress-free event aimed at beginning the holiday season with kindness and generosity. The organizers encourage community members to spread the word, as the more families know about it, the more lives can be touched.
