Asheville Parks & Recreation (APR) is hosting Truck City AVL at Tanger Outlets Asheville on April 13 from 1-4 pm. This community event allows kids and families to explore various trucks and vehicles used for public safety, public works, and more.
Attendees can sit in, explore, and learn about different vehicles like rescue trucks, construction machines, and utility tractors. A quiet hour from 1-2 pm aims to provide a positive experience for individuals with sensory considerations.
City departments will showcase vehicles such as a knuckle boom, sweeper, excavator, bucket truck, and bearcat. Unique vehicles like a 1923 Ford Model T and a banana car will also be featured.
With over 30 vehicles on display, attendees can participate in truck-themed activities and enjoy the Rec n Roll Mobile Play Zone with games and giveaways.
Location: Tanger Outlets Asheville, 800 Brevard Road, Asheville. The event is rain or shine.
Asheville Outlets is an open-air lifestyle destination with over 70 retailers and restaurants, offering popular brand names.
