## New West Asheville Tasting Festival Added as One of Various Upcoming WNC Food Festivals
### ASHEVILLE
Premium beverages and artisanal dishes will take center stage at several upcoming food and beverage festivals. Starting in June, the Carolina CiderFest will host a block party-style tasting festival in the South Slope brewing district. Following that, in July, the Heritage Fire Tour, a national food festival, will return to Asheville for the third consecutive year. In August, Bite Me will debut as a multi-day food culture festival. Finally, Westival, a new tasting festival focusing on West Asheville food and community, will take place in September. Here’s a rundown of these exciting events:
### Westival
Scheduled for 4-8 p.m. on September 28 at Archetype Brewing, Westival will feature more than 10 West Asheville-based food businesses offering samples. The event will include music, a raffle, information tables, and various activities. The Asheville Poverty Initiative is organizing this fundraiser to support its programs promoting economic justice, poverty education, and addressing hunger and housing issues through various outreach services.
Participating businesses in Westival include Botiwalla, Food Experience, Gan Shan, Jargon, Pizza Mind, Rocky’s Hot Chicken Shack, Taco Billy, Sunny Point Café, The Hop Handcrafted Ice Cream, The West End, and West Village Marketplace. ### Burial Beer’s Anno XI
Burial Beer Co.’s Anno XI anniversary celebration will kick off at Noon on June 15 at Burial Forestry Camp. This all-ages event will feature live music, with general admission tickets priced at $60 and VIP tickets at $115.17. ### Carolina CiderFest
Taking place on June 22 in Asheville’s South Slope brewing district, Carolina CiderFest will offer samples of hard ciders, mead, apple wine, and seltzers from over 20 local and regional producers. General admission tickets are $45, with VIP tickets priced at $85. An exciting Pre-Party will be held on June 21 at Noble Cider.
